I’ve just heard of a man who got a 7 year tariff get his ipp squashed after 15 years in prison I would advise all ipps to try to get there ipp squashed in court of appeal the judges seem to be willing to resentence UNGRIPP Shirley De Bono @Clara White Lord Moylan

The ipp sentence was meant for 800 people instead in a 7 year period it was mis used and 8711 ended up with it surely at least the Ministry of Justice should separate the thousands that where sentenced wrongly and resentence those isn’t that simply the just thing to do Alex Chalk KC MP

Today I got the confirmation that my ipp license has been terminated and while I’m happy and proud of myself it doesn’t take away the scars left by that sentence and the fact the sentence is design to break people

parole on bbc is a good watch and if I’m honest I have agreed with all but one decision. I’m half way through last nights episode and I am certain two of the three applicants would of got a ipp if sentenced from 2007-12 but eds protects the public Shirley De Bono IPP COMMITTEE IN ACTION UNGRIPP

Ken Clarke says he never thought 10 years after he abolished ipp sentence there would still be people serving it. What did he expect he abolished a terrible experiment but left those who it was experimented on with it this was always going to be the case.

I have never understood Ken clarkes reasoning for not abolishing the sentence retrospectively and david blunkett calls ipp a tyrannical regime he was the one who created it. these two men have ruined many of ipps lives they must do more to right this hugeee wrong

I think Sir Bob Neill KC (Hon) MP needs to come out and say more about the government response to the ipp report I warned at the time the Justice Committee released there report that although it was a really honest report it will be dangerous if the government don’t listen as it gave ipps hope!

In a 7 year period ipp sentences were given out 103 times on average a month so in the 10 years it’s been abolished roughly 12,360 offenders who would of got it where punished determinately. If ipp is needed for the public protection why was is abolished?

One of the most hurtful things a ipp has to deal with is watch people on determinate sentences get released everyday knowing if they where on a ipp they wouldn’t pass the parole test for release

I mean this with all the goodness of my heart but I do not think a protest will change the ipp situation we won’t get the sort of numbers we need.
