Build back better?
Slashed from $3.5T to $1.75T
No universal pre-k
No raising the corporate tax rate
No paid family leave
No free college
No billionaire tax
No lowering of Rx drug prices.

The more things “change” the more they say the same.

We spent 20 yrs
$6Trillion dollars
6,334 American lives
47,245+ Afghan lives(underreported)…. Just to replace the Taliban with the Taliban.

The same ppl who told us we COULD afford war are telling us we CAN’T afford to bolster the social safety net.

I call bullshit.

Powerful stuff from Veni, vidi, vici here.

And Jon Stewart makes a yet another good point. will be for the people of Afghanistan & Iraq like what Americans land mines were for the people of Vietnam. What we’ve left behind will wound and kill civilians for decades.

“To care for him who shall have borne the battle and for his widow, and his orphan,” President Lincoln affirmed the government’s obligation to care for those injured during the war and to provide for the families of those who perished on the battlefield.“ Oh how we have strayed.

A conversation that needs to be had, with the utmost haste. For decades we sent young men and women off to war, only to deny them the medical treatment benefits they deserve when they return home broken. A total honor to be able to sit down with @theproblem to tackle this issue.
