Haven’t seen a single Conservative MP stand up for Katherine Birbalsingh who is being sued by a Muslim pupil who claims restrictions on prayer are discriminatory. We are a secular society. This is trial between the secular state and a religion. Katherine must win.

Well worth reading - includes an NHS study. The best things you can do for your employees are to support basic needs first & foremost, & to give flexibility & agency to every member of staff. Many in the NHS have NONE & we must change that.

I could go on and on but I won’t. The last few years have exposed the fragile humanity of the NHS for me in a way I didn’t see before. The narrative created around the NHS - hero or villain - is itself toxic. The NHS is full of people. In need of the how, of help & of hope. 8/8

Einstein said the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

But this is what is happening in the NHS right now; hoping things will improve when just giving the same failing medicine.

It occurred to me I never shared this. As I was queueing to pay homage to Queen Elizabeth II, lying in state, a voice broke the silence of London. Sent shivers down my spine … #QueenElizabeth

As I descended the stairs at Westminster Hall, a wash of reverence swept over me. There in all her glory, lay Queen Elizabeth II. Her Crown, Orb and Septre adorning her casket, glittering in the candlelight like a thousand stars twinkling in the night sky. It was quite breath

A reminder of the difference that incredible women in sport make to all those girls watching and dreaming of their own sporting glory
