Please congratulate your 2024 #EucalyptoftheYear , the incredible Red-flowering Gum, Corymbia ficifolia!
This Western Australian endemic is one of the most widely planted eucalypt in Australia and around the world!
Congrats to the #FriendsofFicifolia !

Thanks to Science & Technology Australia for letting me run the Parliament #bee tour again for this year's Science Meets Parliament. I love the idea of this event - bringing scientists, policy makers and representatives together. Plus the #honey featured at the gala dinner! #bee keeping Aurecon
Checking in on the Parliament House Canberra native stingless #bees earlier today. Very happy in their Hive Haven enclosures, but the cooling weather in #Canberra means that they will soon depart for their winter lodgings in Sydney!
Checking the Parliament House Canberra hives yesterday evening. Hives are healthy, but another disappointing season for honey production - flowers just did not produce much across the region 😕

These beautiful natives call our national Parliament in #Canberra home during the warmer months, moving to #Sydney over winter.
