Amidst so much personal turmoil, work has kept me going. I'm lucky people trust me to teach, write, and program films. It really drives me to do better; be better. Even if things get rough, I'm grateful there's space for me to live out some of my dreams, no matter how briefly.

This was my first year on the selection committee. The quality of scripts submitted was excellent. Congratulations to the grantees!

One of the best parts about being a film critic and film programmer is discovering voices, stories and storytelling methods and introducing them to readers.

Congrats, everyone! Best thing about QCinema grants ay ang 100% ownership ng proponent.
Tunay na suporta ng QC para sa mga alagad ng sining.

The Philippines' 2024 Oscar entry, The Missing, is a stunning animation that explores queer identities and childhood trauma. UK premiere at 18:20 tonight Barbican Centre, plus Q&A with director Carl Joseph Papa, hosted by How Wee Ng: barbican.org.uk/whats-on/2024/…

We sifted through 254 submissions from across the globe and came across some truly brilliant work out there. It's proof that there's so much local talent. Really excited for these six films to be made and shown to the world. Hope you come and support them in November! :>

Critics have always been 'the enemy' to certain demographics but the ways that the eager harassment and abusing of people just doing their jobs has become a 'noble' task for so many zealous fandoms is deeply concerning. We're seeing how it impacts editorial choices.

Honestly. Having money to treat yourself and your mental health, it's a game changer. To get that gym membership or go to a class. Therapy. To not stress about food or being able to meet up with friends. Money doesnt solve it all, but absolutely changes things.

Has anyone written about or studied how marginalized people’s expressions of anger are constantly referred to or interpreted as hate?
