A very interesting article on barriers to working class photographers by Lanre Bakare. It is good that this is now being talked about, but I wish I could understand why the Guardian has so persistently refused to cover Outsiders when even the BBC now has.

There is no such thing as a children's writer any more, I think. The role has changed to performer and communicator charismatic and able enough to deliver to (usually) private schools a meaningful experience based on a book they have had published. The book is the smallest part.
