Yes, I love EEAAO for the story, the spectacle & the representation, but I think what’s most compelling about its success for me is that its existence is proof that really weird and wonderful art is still possible in an industry often driven by “safer” commercial/creative choices

It’s wild how people say things like, “I wish I could draw.” Can you imagine if they said this to other fields?

Not surprised that A.I is being used to make Anime now. This is the exact thing Hayao Miyazaki wanted to prevent when he spoke against the industry becoming reliant on CGI and computers:
