Putting a petty man who demonstrates so little self-control in command of our nuclear arsenal, our economy, our justice system is like handing a loaded pistol to a spoiled three-year-old.
But some people apparently love spoiled three-year-olds.

It's stunning to read a story like this in which all the major players are various degrees of villains and there's not a redeeming character in the whole cast.

On April 23, 2020 – four years ago today – Trump suggested we attack Covid-19 by injecting disinfectant in people’s bodies or by sticking “a very powerful light … inside the body.”
It was reckless commentary by a person unqualified to be president.🧵 1/6

Honest talk on 'school choice'. 🧵

We have a son who is having a hard time in public school as resources are stretched thin. So we applied him for private school hoping the smaller class size would help with teachers that are not always feeling like their job is under fire.

GOP Senator Marco Rubio: “For years to come, there are many people on the right, in the media and voters at large, that are going to be having to explain and justify how they fell into this trap of supporting Donald Trump.”

Liz Cheney, in the NYT, demanding the prosecution of the GOP nominee for president on grounds he attempted to overthrow our government is a reminder of just how far down the rabbit hole we have fallen:

Jesse Watters gave details about Juror No. 2, including her neighborhood, occupation, education, marital and family status, and industry her fiancé works in, which lead to her dismissal over safety concerns.

This is juror intimidation, by Watters, for Trump, through Fox.

Evangelical MAGA Pastor Shane Vaughn calls SC Justice Jackson “Judge Jumanji Jungle Lips” and says what’s coming out of her lips is “jungle monkey sense.”

He later gives the usual racist ‘apology’ of ‘not having a racist bone in his body,’ then immediately insults her again.

Shad White is the state auditor of Mississippi, the state now celebrating April as Confederate Heritage Month, 'to honor those who served in the Confederacy.' Today, in 2024, they still salute those who fought to destroy the Union & preserve white supremacy and black slavery.

Former Mississippi Gov. Ray Mabus reacted to his state’s declaration of April as “Confederate Heritage Month”:

“Confederate Heritage? Really? The heritage that I think of with the Confederacy is slavery, is treason, and is losing.”

Democratic prosecutors didn't indict the GOP nominee for president. No, Republicans chose to nominate a man who faced multiple felony indictments. To hear some of them, they nominated that candidate BECAUSE he had been indicted on serious crimes.
Their choice; their consequences.

Marco, you and your party had multiple chances to rein in the lawlessness that is Trump, and each time you were too cowardly to act.
To the contrary, you nominated a man whom you knew had incited an insurrection and faced multiple felony charges.
It's on you, son. All on you.
