A great session today with the Acute Liaison Nurses for Learning Disabilities who spoke to us about common challenges in supporting our patients with LD during their care journey. A great morning with All Things VTE Prevention GEH doing an educational tea trolley all about common themes within VTE care and what we can do as an MDT to provide excellent care to our patients - a great way to participate in National Thrombosis Week 🩸💉
Another great session today working on core skills with staff from 9 different wards within the hospital. Clinical care, documentation and A-E assessments all covered amongst other things with lots of smiling faces 😊 thank you to @GEHResuscitation for your help!
Surgery’s educational tea trolley is around the hospital today in collaboration with George Eliot Critical Care - reviewing the Outreach scope and how we can support our patients. Covering SBAR handovers and vein finders along with the new one call for all process for emergencies!
Surgery’s Tea Trolley Teaching focused on the health and wellbeing of our staff today. Highlighting the support available from GEHSWFTwellbeing, as well as the trust PNAs and their role. Refreshments, resources and some time out to prioritise our staff!
