A great day learning about all things Spinal Injury today at the Promedics study day. Representation from Nursing staff, PT, OT & Orthotics all taking part in lectures and practical workshops to further our knowledge when safely caring for patients - lots to bring back and share!

Surgery’s educational tea trolley is around the hospital today in collaboration with George Eliot Critical Care - reviewing the Outreach scope and how we can support our patients. Covering SBAR handovers and vein finders along with the new one call for all process for emergencies!

Today Medicine and Surgery combined to teach our first Multi-Directorate Core Skills for Nurse’s day - a practical day for new to trust nurses & a chance for staff to gain experience from colleagues on different wards. A really practical day full of laughter as well as learning.

Surgery’s Tea Trolley Teaching focused on the health and wellbeing of our staff today. Highlighting the support available from GEHSWFTwellbeing, as well as the trust PNAs and their role. Refreshments, resources and some time out to prioritise our staff!
