‘FOLDers of Change’ Ss are engaged and aware of the power of platform and literature! We had an amazing, reflective discussion with @jessewente, Clayton Thomas-Muller, and Katherena Vermmette’s, and January Roger’s guidance. Grateful to The FOLD for this accessible experience.

Third audiobook of the year- and wow! I learned so much. Some things must be shared and not only do our eyes need to be opened, but so does our heart. @jessewente

Wow. Only half way through @jessewente & struggling to find words 🙌🏻. What I DO know for sure…this book/story is owed a read/listen from every single white person in Canada.

Just finished Unreconciled by @JesseWente.

This is essential reading for all Canadians. Go get it. Read it. It poignantly reflects many Indigenous people’s perspectives, only many of us can’t say it as well as he does.

Jesse, I’m grateful for this book and for you.

On International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples, consider supporting authors who document resistance of indigenous peoples against the injustice of the settler state: Our Voice of Fire by Brandi Morin, Unreconciled by @jessewente & 7 Fallen Feathers by Tanya Talaga

Finished book #3 'Unreconciled' by @jessewente. Something I should have read in the spring w/ David Tran and the guilt was killing me. The part that has given me the most pause is the idea that 'reconciliation is the wrong word for both the situation and the goal'.

Thank you @jessewente - UNRECONCILED has only strengthened this settler’s resolve to help make meaningful change so we can all recognize Indigenous sovereignty. Thank you for sharing your story. A must read everyone. Change must come.

Day 7 of . I highly recommend the book Unreconciled by @jessewente. This book weaves Indigenous history through personal narrative. It explores many topics including residential schools, racial profiling, cultural appropriation, and Indigenous identity.

Couldn't put @jessewente's book down. Highly recommended! An incredible personal story, an important education on history of Canada, and a direct & helpful call to action for settlers to mend our relationship with Indigenous people. Read an excerpt here: thelifedelicious.ca/the-life-delic…

Indigenous literature will be reframed becoming more specific to the nations. In the future, The FOLD we will have an Indigenous literature panel and we can pick the nation. @jessewente

Almost finished reading by @jessewente. Incredible, poignant book. I hope it leaves as much of an impression on my Grade 11 students as it has on me.
