Almost finished reading #unreconciled by Jesse Wente. Incredible, poignant book. I hope it leaves as much of an impression on my Grade 11 students as it has on me.

On #UN International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples, consider supporting authors who document resistance of indigenous peoples against the injustice of the settler state: Our Voice of Fire by Brandi Morin, Unreconciled by Jesse Wente & 7 Fallen Feathers by Tanya Talaga
Jesse Brown Jesse Wente Terry Glavin 格立文 I'm genuinely confused here. If you aren't equipped to debate the history of residential schools, how are you in a position to challenge him?

Wow. Only half way through Jesse Wente #unreconciled & struggling to find words 🙌🏻. What I DO know for sure…this book/story is owed a read/listen from every single white person in Canada.
Couldn't put Jesse Wente's book down. Highly recommended! An incredible personal story, an important education on history of Canada, and a direct & helpful call to action for settlers to mend our relationship with Indigenous people. Read an excerpt here: thelifedelicious.ca/the-life-delic…
This is awesome! Our book club met today and our surprise guest was the author Jesse Wente. Grateful for the opportunity to share in a rich discussion about his powerful book Unreconciled. Toronto District School Board
Finished book #3 'Unreconciled' by Jesse Wente. Something I should have read in the spring w/ David Tran and the guilt was killing me. The part that has given me the most pause is the idea that 'reconciliation is the wrong word for both the situation and the goal'. #Reflections
