Two show Sunday, quite the lineup

Some hugely smart and effective improvements were made after the Public run — I really liked it! It feels smoother, earnest but not overstuffed. There’s still a level of “this is important!!!” but given the subject matter, that’s not unexpected.

I think constantly about the woman I sat next to at a West Side Story screening who gasped in horror at the end, apparently having never seen the original movie, any production of the musical, or Romeo & Juliet. I must know what it’s like to go through life like that.
