My trip to Vietnam started with the hospital visit of Bach Mai Stroke center. The meeting with the Director General of Bach Mai Hospital, Assoc Prof Dao Xuan Co and with the stroke team members was very fruitful. The center is eager to apply for WSO stroke center certification.

I was honored to meet Dr Luong Ngoc Khue, Director General and Dr Duong Huy Luong, Vice Director, Medical Services Administration under Ministry of Health, Hanoi, Vietnam. We discussed about joint WSO Stroke center certification program and training of young HCPs.

The comprehensive stroke centers at 108 military general hospital in Hanoi and the Phu Thou Provincial General Hospital were of international standards. We discussed about the future plans about WSO stroke center certification and capacity building for HCPs.

WSO President-elect Prof Jeyaraj Pandian met Director Prof Dao Xuan Co and his stroke team at the Bach Mai Hospital, Hanoi today. Bach Mai is a comprehensive stroke center treating 13000 stroke patients a year, 500 of whom are treated with #thrombolysis and #thrombectomy . This…

I had the privilege of visiting HSAAS comprehensive stroke center in Kuala Lumpur. The center is being led by Dr Hamidon Basri, Director and Associate Professor Dr Hoo Fan Kee with an expert multidisciplinary team.

The ASKAN Angels steering committee members met in Kuala Lumpur today. The members from Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, Australia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and Philippines discussed about the stroke care in respective countries and WSO Stroke center certification program.

Indian Stroke Association and ASA/AHA Joint session at International Stroke Conference, Phoenix, USA. The experts deliberated on the growth of stroke care in India and future collaborations between both the countries.
