#OTD in 1920, the blast furnaces at the Ford Motor Company Rouge Plant were fired up for the first time. Iron from the furnaces was transported directly to the foundry, where it was used to make engine blocks, cylinder heads, intake and exhaust manifolds, and other parts for the Model T.
Crepuscular rays are among nature’s most effective signage. Whenever they appear, they seem to say, “Hey, look at this place. You should take a picture.”
