I’m thinking pitchers have become so impressive the last 10 years because they had the mindset of going max effort for 5 or 6 innings. Having 5 minutes between pitches & ruining the game didn’t matter. Imagine how hard Nolan Ryan could have thrown if 185 innings was his goal?
