⚡️As a member of the ERG, I personally will be voting FOR the Rwanda Bill tomorrow at 7pm.
It is not perfect (no Bill ever is), but I agree with its principle: to deter the slavers providing dangerous channel crossings.
Amendments can then be made later in the usual way.

Leaders of three of America's most prestigious universities -- Harvard, MIT, Penn -- testify before Congress that students/staff calling for genocide of Jews doesn't necessarily break their school rules.
They would act, they said, only if such hate speech crossed over into…

I guess that’s what comes from decades of politicians handing over their responsibilities to institutions such as the EU and central bank, and from the general elevation of technocracy over democracy.

The fact that so many apparently educated and influential people do not understand that parliament is sovereign in our land - and, to boot, appear not to like that fact - is a little worrying.

This is ridiculous.

Amazing ignorance of the British constitution being revealed in recent days. Paul Embery is right about this. The “basic law” of the UK constitution is that the Crown in Parliament is sovereign. No other court is superior.

Jaw-dropping polling, where one in five young Americans think the Holocaust didn’t happen.

When we say, “Never again”, do we really mean it? We desperately need actions, not words.

Our new landmark emergency legislation will:

🚫 Control our borders
🚫 Deter people taking perilous journeys across the channel
🚫 End the continuous legal challenges filling our courts

It is parliament that should decide who comes to this country, not criminal gangs.

“Parliament is sovereign” is literally the most basic principle of the British constitution.

The number of people losing their minds over this tweet shows how poorly Citizenship is taught in schools. It’s wild how many people on Twitter think we’re America.

Walking through Kibbutz Kfar, two months to the day since Hamas’ terror attack.

Whilst overhead an Iron Dome defensive rocket screamed past bringing down an incoming rocket moments later. All a stark reminder that a sustainable two-state solution is needed now more than ever.
