New: Blinken has known for months his own experts concluded multiple Israeli units should be disqualified from U.S. aid for flagrant human rights abuses.

And for months, he's sat on those recommendations. 'They've been sitting in his briefcase.' propublica.org/article/israel…

NEW from Brett Murphy:

A special State Dept panel sought in Dec to BAN Israeli military & police units from receiving US military aid.

The units are alleged to have committed gross human rights violations.

Killings. Rapes.

Blinken sat on it.

NEW: Trump’s lawyers told the court that no one would give him a bond.

Then he got a lifeline from a billionaire. But his lawyers didn't tell the judges.

That may be an ethics violation.

Nationwide, Congressional maps that have been ruled discriminatory to Blacks or Hispanics will remain in place because of delays in appeals. In some cases, judges justify keeping unfair maps rather than 'confuse' voters by late changes in polling places. propublica.org/article/electi…

Stunning: U.S. agencies have intervened in at least 17 jurisdictions over the last several decades on behalf of the formula industry, often to oppose measures that would restrict formula marketing or require additional safety precautions. ⁦Heather Vogell⁩ propublica.org/article/how-am…

The US has been working on behalf of the baby formula industry to quash regulation around the globe — even for questionable products like “toddler milk,” which critics call unhealthy and doctors say is unnecessary. My story: propublica.org/article/how-am…

Update: Two days after we published this story, the U.S. Dept of Justice reversed course & conceded that the Baltimore man’s conviction should be thrown out.

The DOJ wrote in a court filing that “public confidence cannot sustain irreconcilable versions of one event.”
