Let me just say: When you're a professor, you can close ranks with powerful professors, politicians and celebrities, or you can close ranks with adjuncts, students and people who are struggling. And your life will be much richer when you do the latter.

All I want are walkable communities safe from gun violence, with affordable housing, good public transportation and connections to regional high speed rail systems. That’s the America I want to live in.

Prevention is key. Identifying settings and activities at high risk for spillover saves lives and ensures focused, cost-effective strategies can be put in place with minimal socio-economic impact. #PreventPandemics #OneHealth #INB9

Nobody gets 'left with the tab' when student debt is cancelled. It doesn't cost taxpayers. This is one of like five raggedy ass arguments conservatives have to rely on to justify disrupting relief for the working class. They just keep repeating it over and over as if it's true.

Working class people are not better.
Latine people are not better.
Poor people are not better.
People who lost loved ones to Covid are not better.
People living with #LongCovid are not better.

But yes, billionaires are better.

We all deserve better.

But they paid millions for unmoderated teen chat rooms.

The revolution will not be funded.

The last few years I’ve had more students miss more school days than any other time in my now 22 years of teaching.

They’ve been almost exclusively sick days.

NYC schools don’t even bother to encourage ventilation or cleaning classroom air anymore.

Really appreciate Governor Katie Hobbs taking this bold step -- and on #CovidMemorialDay nonetheless. What a beautiful way to honor the lives of the 35K people in Arizona who have already died from Covid, including my dad, by erasing medical debt.
