I can't believe this needs to be said, but WE are the only line of defence when it comes to kids/young people. Sometimes we protect them from THEMSELVES and other times from adults who mean to abuse them. We protect them. Finish. That's community.

someone taking the time to explain how they are feeling hurt as a result of our actions means they value our presence in their life. they’re giving us a chance to show up in a way that is comfortable for both parties. when people stop explaining to us how they feel, they’ll exit.

Sorghum

You know what crop is taxed?

Expecting somebody to move countries on their dime, to do work for a year, without even a food voucher.

This is how corruption starts because how is a 32yr old with a Masters expected to survive?

It pissed me off so much

Yesterday I saw an internship post from one of the wealthy international organisations.

They wanted an intern with a Masters degree

They offer no stipend, no accommodation, no flights, no food and a year long internship.
