By all means, the complaint deserves scrutiny from the integrity commissioner. But if this (relatively minor) allegation is all there is, it's deplorable for the premier to use that - from an anonymous letter she hadn't read - to cast aspersions on the city and #yegcc as a whole.

Relatedly, a couple of noteworthy subsequent motions were approved by #yeg cc Wednesday. One calls for an analysis of the capital budget to potentially reduce tax levy impacts (Cartmell), and the other calls for an action plan to address structural financial issues (Sohi). #yeg

After what has felt like a very long process, Edmonton has a new city auditor -- Janine Mryglod, who has been serving in an interim role the last year. She's also been with the city for more than a decade. The council vote to approve her hiring was 13-0. #yeg #yeg cc
