After what has felt like a very long process, Edmonton has a new city auditor -- Janine Mryglod, who has been serving in an interim role the last year. She's also been with the city for more than a decade. The council vote to approve her hiring was 13-0. cc

Okay two councillors confirmed with me:

Edmonton’s property tax increase for 2024 is 8.9% — higher than what admin recommended (8.7%), higher than what was set last year (6.6%)

Passed unanimously 13-0.

I’ll have details in the morning.
