A lot of bad in Kijabe Forest area, massive mudslides and increasing danger to communities. Roads are blocked by debris.

#1 was the main flood on Apr 29th with further mudslide today.

Last evening 2,3, and 5 slid. New pool at 4.

The media plays a key role in to magnify early warning messages and keep actors to account. If scientists in the region interlink with media, then the warnings get to actors in time. Early action need early dissemination of warnings.

Watch this space for Multi-Pest Early Warning Systems. DLCO-EA are working over their resources on control yet their planes engines have not been switched off last 5 years due to the big flocks of Quelea in Et, Ke, Tz, Sud & SSudan consuming sorghum, wheat, Teff, millet.
