A huge loss to the industry & the USA. Toby Keith was a true supporter of democracy & freedom. I hear a 21-gun salute to Big Dog Daddy. I 1st met Toby in '01 & while I know a lot of people, I don’t have many friends. I just lost one. Love & prayers to his family. RIP friend.

Tough day at Channel 4. Got word this morning our photog Gene Rickman passed away unexpectedly last nite. Gene was one of the real good guys in our business. Irreplaceable newsroom citizen. Sure gonna miss him and our sports and movie talks. RIP Gene-o.
