UPDATE: Bowling Green police released further details Friday afternoon surrounding an officer-involved shooting Thursday off of Russellville Road. BGPD chief of police Michael Delaney has confirmed officer Matt Davis was injured in the shooting.

🚨 Avoid Russellville Road at the Morgantown Road intersection. A portion of the roads is blocked after an officer-involved shooting near the Car-Mart. Police say one officer was injured.

ATF Louisville’s Bowling Green office is assisting BGKYPolice in an officer involved shooting in which a Bowling Green police officer was injured. Additional details are not available at this time. The media is asked to direct questions to the Bowling Green Police Department.
