Finally (four hours into the journey) a static trolley has been set up at the first class end. No hot drinks though - apparently the lids don't fit so there's an H and S issue.

On the train up to London from Camborne. No buffet service in Standard class. Apparently if staffing resources are limited, #gwr policy is that 1st class continue to get their at-seat freebies, but getting drinks to standard class passengers is just too difficult.

Great evening at the Acorn last week listening to Patrick Gale talking about his new novel Mother's Boy. Also lovely music and song from Jim Causley. Very lucky to have this wonderful arts venue on my doorstep.
