Hey artists—thought you might want to know that the only reason you think you should be paid for your work is because you were tricked by evil media companies into believing that your consent matters. Luckily, the Chamber of Progress (Google, Meta, Amazon et al) has your back. 🤯

I was calling it this whole damn time!!

Adobe Firefly is not, and has NEVER been an 'ethical' AI generator. I spoke to multiple news vendors about this!!

AdobeStock contributors like myself saw right through the PR spin from the beginning. 100% predatory.

This is UTTERLY disappointing, ignorant and weak. Instead of fighting against data abuse, and copyright infringement the Canadian gov wants to fall back on the classic 'retraining' talking point. We all know retraining NEVER works. This is the laziest approach Justin Trudeau

This entire framing is a bait & switch—few artists feel threatened by generative AI due to its ability to create quality work. They're threatened because too many clients don't care about the quality of the output, and AI will erode rates for creative work across the board.

Shame you on GOBELINS Paris for even thinking about using/teaching GenAi. Why would anyone want to go to school to learn how to steal and plunder from artists, Schools are being lobbied by big tech, but ffs, stand up for what you're known for.
