Listen to Sarah talking about Bewick Tales on R4 Open Book (14 mins in), publishing for people with dementia in ways that don’t depend on memory and reminiscence but on living in the moment and use of the imagination - and she has a beautiful radio voice! bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m0…

So grateful, always, to our - our stringent reviewers.

Our volunteer review team say “No” to 65-70% of the books we’re shown.

We only sell the very best of the best inclusive books.

Scholars like me must continue to speak up for authors, particularly authors of colour, in getting not just the recognition but the remuneration they deserve. (And this includes not asking authors to do talks at universities for free.)

Az, you are very valued by your readers and by children’s literature scholars like myself. You have the right as an author to be paid a reasonable amount for advances and events, and as a multi-nominated award-winning author you have the right to ask for more. 1/2
