A tornado WATCH, meaning that ingredients are in place for severe storms to produce large hail, strong wind gusts, and a few tornadoes, has been issued until 6 PM. It's the first of three First Alert Weather Days with severe storms possible through Sunday.

A TORNADO WATCH has been issued for ALL of Central Texas through 6 PM this evening. A tornado WATCH means that ingredients are in place for severe storms to potentially produce very large hail, strong wind gusts, and of course a few tornadoes too.

A new severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Lampasas County. The same storm that was previously warned over San Saba County is moving toward Lampasas proper and could produce near half-dollar size hail and 60 MPH wind gusts.

Our first severe thunderstorm warning of the day has been issued for parts of San Saba County. This severe storm may produce up to ping-pong ball size hail along with 60 MPH wind gusts as it tracks toward northern Burnet and southern Lampasas County.
