Since wet weather returned late Dec 26, 2022 San Francisco had, in 13 days, 11.16' rain so far (still a few hours until midnight). For any 13 days of time on SF record, it's the wettest since 11.17' rain Dec 15-27, 1871. SF water year to date 14.82' rain, currently 21st wettest.

The next few days will feature two separate storms. The first starting today through Sunday morning. There will be a brief dry period on Sunday, then the second round starting Sunday night through Tuesday morning. Here are the latest forecast totals and max wind gusts.

The NWS Weather Prediction Center has placed most of the Bay Area under a moderate risk of flooding tomorrow for excessive rainfall. Given our wet soil conditions produced by recent heavy rains, flooding is likely.

Our NYE storm last Saturday has prepared us to see flooding very easily on Wednesday. Another atmospheric river will bring heavy rain and strong damaging winds gusting 40-60mph. 2pm - 8pm Wednesday is the time of highest concern. We will be with you through the entire storm.
