The privilege we have in Manitoba and Canada right now - fighting over wearing a mask, requiring a vaccine to go to a restaurant or squabbling about hockey coaches decisions is just so vivid tonight.

If the Prime Minister invoking a law and then all parties getting to openly debate that decision in Parliament before voting on it less than six months after a free and transparent federal election feels like tyranny to you, I hope you know how lucky that makes you.

The sad irony: The 'freedom' convoy actually had a lot of freedom...To travel across the country. To honk their horns all day & night. To party in hot tubs. To occupy Ottawa for 3 straight weeks.

Privilege is having freedom & having no clue that you have it.

3) It's not 'fascist' for an elected government to invoke duly enacted emergency laws, reviewable by courts, to deal with disturbances. What is a lot more fascist-y, on the other hand, are extremist groups who blockade commerce in hopes of coercing the state to yield to demands

Can you imagine if some of these people actually had their freedoms taken away like minorities, instead of just being privileged lol

The 'Freedom Rally' in downtown Winnipeg is two blocks from me. Since they're so loud, I decided to walk over and observe it. Mask on, because I like to live dangerously. Here are some (depressing) observations:
