Licensing Officers had cause to speak to the driver of this PHV due to him smoking inside the vehicle. However, on inspection of the vehicle, a number of defects were also discovered. Driver is to be reported for the smoking offence as well as being issued with a defect notice

Licensing Officers discovered this Wolverhampton PHV operating in Liverpool last night with an illegal tyre. The vehicles Private Hire Licence was suspended, and the driver reported for the offence

Licensing Officers were issuing Taxi Rank notices to unauthorised vehicles that had parked on Victoria St Taxi Rank on St Patrick Day. The notice clearly states that unauthorised vehicles may be issued with a penalty charge notice or that the vehicle will be removed.

Licensing officers were on duty on and around Smithdown Road during the St Patrick's Day celebrations. Officers were visiting licensed premises and conducting inspections of licenced vehicles operating in the area

Licensing Officers had cause to speak to the driver of this Taxi during the St Patrick's day celebrations for ignoring the no entry and one-way signage on Fenwick St. To make matters worse, he had passengers in the vehicle - driver to be reported.

Licensing Enforcement Officers discovered an LCC PHV this evening operating with two illegal tyres. The vehicle licence was suspended, and the driver is to be reported for the offences. Please remember to carry out regular checks on your licenced vehicle.

Licensing Officers have been checking HCVs and PHVs attending Anfield tonight for the game. Taxis checked for card readers, which were working with drivers happy to show they are being used. In addition, the proprietor of this PHV will be contacted with action to follow!

Property which was found in the back of a Taxi and handed into our office by the driver, has been reunited with its owner who described herself as being 'overjoyed' to get it back.
