Thank you so much for all the lovely messages checking that I'm still alive. I would love to tell you that I've been busy running marathons but at 95, the only marathon I can manage to finish is the chocolate bar! I have been busy catching up with family, friends and drinking gin

My 5 year old great grandson just ran up to me brandishing a photograph of me from 1946. He looked at it, then peered over the photograph at me before exclaiming; 'What happened?!

Saying 'You look more like sisters' to a mother and daughter can sound charming to a mother if she is in her thirties or forties, but at 95 years of age, I am indifferent to the compliment and my daughter is mortified.
