This week marks 1 month since I started my new job outside of teaching. The difference is honestly mindblowing.

For the first time in years I don’t feel the back-to-school countdown looming this year. I have a new job outside of teaching! I’m very excited, but perhaps won’t use this account much anymore (not that I did anyway for a while), so this might be my edutwitter sign-off. 👋🏻👩🏼‍🏫

School uniform should be affordable and accessible to all. No ifs or buts on this one.

1-2 days for me, but honestly worrying that so many people worked 5+ days. That’s an entire working week!!!

Marking in English is pretty intense. It took me 1 hr to mark a full class set of 32 assessments for Personal Development yesterday. Takes me 3-4 hours at least for the equivalent in English! 😰

Has anyone else had any mad interview requests? Once turned down an interview as I was asked to plan a 1 hour lesson, attend a student panel, complete an unnamed teaching task, written task and then panel interview if successful, with 1 whole day to prepare 🤪

We have a book vending machine encouraging students to read 10 books from their journey to receive a gifted book 🥰. We are looking to make them really special and wondered if there’s any authors that offer signed copies that we might be able to source. Can anyone help? #author
