Thanks to the generosity of Sean Leahy I was invited to join him and the PDG Aviation Services team for an aerial survey tasking. As well as being an informative morning outlining Network Rail’s role in monitoring rail infrastructure, the sortie allowed me to capture some dramatic images.

Extreme testing of the accurascale Ruston 88DS in 0 Gauge! Even though it looks slightly ridiculous, testing our first 7mm scale locomotive even includes running it over ETS 170mm radius tram curves for an extended period, in both directions!

I dislike airports intensely, but love flying; the take offs, the climbing through cloud, the fleeting play of light on cloud, the cloud patterns, but most of all, the isolation from the world below.

Back in the hutch again after an eventful trip into the depths of Dorset for work. Weather, and scenery, was utterly gorgeous - I’d nearly forgotten how beautiful this county is, especially on a glorious winter’s day…

As a lifelong supporter, it is good to see this naming of GB Railfreight 66307 as Ipswich Town, especially considering that the UK’s favourite model railway manufacturer, accurascale, just so happens to have a range of Class 66 locomotives in its range.
It’d be rude not to, eh?

14 years ago I took this, hardly seems believable. It was certainly brassic that day, the roads were frozen and there was not a soul about! All worked out nicely though!

Good to see Royston Crow featuring the successful conclusion to the saga of Royston station’s footbridge, with Network Rail finishing the work to connect the platforms once more!

Random thought, as I head northwards to Birmingham and the NEC Why is it that walking boots are only truly comfortable at the point that they need to be replaced?
These are the important questions that need answering in life…

And yes, there's even a Duck 😉 Our Steve has done a grand job here; not so much a question of 'which one will I buy', more like 'how many will I buy' 😆

And can we classify this as an application of insignia?
Been some time since I last visited RAF Cosford and it’s got even better; worth visiting for the Cold War Hangar alone.
