i’m an organizer with CU Apartheid Divest Columbia Students for Justice in Palestine, in my 3 years at Barnard College i have never been reprimanded or received any disciplinary warnings

i just received notice that i am 1 of 3 students suspended for standing in solidarity with Palestinians facing a genocide.

From the encampment telegram:

We invite our comrades who are not able to access campus (and those who can) to bring blankets, handwarmers, and hot beverages/coffee to distribute to our people who will be holding the space through the night.

The Gaza Solidarity Encampment is still going! It’s Day 2 & YOU ARE NEEDED at Columbia University to help keep the camp safe from police for the brave students on campus!!! Thank you to the amazing comrades/students outside the gates/camp protesting through the rain cold & night!

WE NEED TO MOBILIZE SUPPORT FOR THESE STUDENTS!! All 3 of them were attacked with skunk water in January on campus during a peaceful protest!!

Shame on Columbia University & Barnard College for targeting peaceful protestors who were victims to a chemical attack!

UPDATE: 3 students SUSPENDED at Barnard College for their participation in the camp!!

2 Muslim & 1 Jewish students suspended. All 3 have lost access to food, medical center, university buildings, class. 2 live in student housing and have already been locked out & evicted
