@lordgrindleford

It's about preserving the truth, not hate.
We have been freed from the Law in order to obey the Spirit

PSA - the idea that God punished Jesus for our sins - hides the power of the Gospel. People are given the idea that their sinful flesh is redeemed, when they should learn to live as if it died with Christ - living for the Spirit and putting to death the deeds of the flesh.

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
Jn10.27-88

Assurance is for the faithful, not the unfaithful. They hear his voice and follow him.

This thinking is narrow. Ron Henzel drinks coffee for your protection. β˜•
Nothing in the bible suggests that God decrees sinful desire.
The bible consistently teaches that sinful desire is our own, and God did NOT have it in mind.
Gen4.7, jer7.31, etc

Faith without works of faith saves no one (jas2.14).
Do not confuse these with the works that Paul condemns in rom9.32, rom4.14-15 etc. They are works of the flesh, not faith. Boasting, not hearing and obeying the word of God.
We will be judged by our works (eg jn5.29, 2cor10.5).

Scripture says we were saved(1pet1.18); it says we are BEING saved (1cor15.2); it says who will be saved (mat24.13).
Salvation is ongoing. Faith is to be lived.
We actively keep faith alive, otherwise it will die. How any mature Christian doesn't know this is beyond me.

Choice here is not a work that Paul was referring to in rom3.28. When someone chooses to obey the voice of God it is a work of faith, which saves.

Danny⚑ James is clear:
'What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them?'
Without deeds, faith in the work of Christ becomes useless superstition. It won't save you.
OSAS is condemned in the bible.

What should we say about someone who believes in predestination as Calvin claimed it was - saved or condemned before creation, with no possibility of redemption for most of the human race?

God wants all to be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth. 1tim2.4.
People who keep deliberately twisting plain truth make themselves an enemy of the Truth, and are in danger of invoking rom1.18 on themselves.

If God decided to condemn people to eternal torture before creation with no possibility of redemption, it doesn't matter how you dress it up; it is active reprobation.

On the contrary, OSAS encourages lawless living. People are encouraged to sin without eternal consequences.

What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? - jas2.14

There is a common misconception that faith without works will save us.
Scripture states otherwise. Example:
'What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them?' Jas2.14

'What may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them.' Rom1.19

God teaches us all. But hardened Calvinists twist every plain scripture that denies their theology.
