The Tobacco and Vapes Bill, if passed, will prevent thousands of people being disabled or dying prematurely.

Tobacco addicts people at a young age, taking their choices away and then killing them.

The 4 UK CMOs support creating a smokefree generation.

It’s a strange thing when you hear your work referenced by ALASTAIR CAMPBELL on The Rest Is Politics - I’d normally be flattered but that’s overshadowed by how utterly depressed and enraged I am by the fact that we need to write and campaign about child poverty in a rich nation in 2024.

Great to hear The Rest Is Politics discuss David Taylor-Robinson's (@LivUniIPH) comments on child poverty at our recent event. You can read David and Louise Kenny's chapter on health inequalities in our Manifesto for Liverpool City Region here liverpool.ac.uk/heseltine-inst…

This is a really important point. 1 in 3 babies are born by c-section in the UK- and it’s important to prepare for this endpoint antenatally. Hoping for the best and ignoring facts should not be encouraged- especially for first time mums.

It is very important if you are doing an antenatal class to ask questions like “In your last group how many Mums had a C-section?” Never believe that you don’t need to discuss this procedure because “you won’t need it”; some NCT classes are clearly helpful, sadly some are not.

Delighted to have contributed to this important manifesto for our city. Health inequalities need urgent attention. Without health there can be no wealth.

In their contribution, Professor David Taylor-Robinson and Professor Louise Kenny address the issue of health inequalities - a pressing issue in Liverpool City Region as outlined in the recent Liverpool City Council Liverpool 2040 report.
