Today we celebrated the life of J. Michael Brown at the Kentucky State Capitol. He was a great man who dedicated himself to serving our country, our commonwealth and our city and he will be greatly missed. Rachel and I are thinking of Joan and his entire family.

2023 was a record-breaking year for FlyLouisville (SDF), with the airport seeing an all-time high for passengers! Louisville is a world-class destination and the world is taking notice. I can't wait to see what records we break next!

Louisville, please be safe this morning! Metro Public Works are out and working hard to get our roadways clear. If you need to travel, use caution, go slow and make sure you have an emergency kit in your car.

Great to be in D.C. with the U.S. Mayors where I’m taking part in conversations and meetings around how we can make Louisville a safer, stronger and healthier city! Excited to bring back great ideas so we can continue working hard for that brighter future.

Leaders like DeShawn Bell are making a difference in the lives of Louisville's kids and I am glad we can support them. DeShawn owns Alpha Cheer Gymnastics, which benefited from a METCO loan. Now, more children can enjoy this space and DeShawn's coaching!

Our thoughts are with the Từ Ân Buddhist Temple community. Thank you for rising above the acts of vandalism and showing that forgiveness, kindness and compassion are stronger than hate.

Muhammad Ali's influence is felt throughout Louisville. From the Shepard Fairey's mural to the banners on Muhammad Ali Boulevard leading to KCAAH, and the Ali Humanitarian Awards honoring those who make a difference, our compassionate city is inspired by Ali's legacy.

Talk about a major league event. Saturday, Deputy Mayor Barbara Sexton Smith thanked Mookie Betts for hosting a bowling tournament at Louisville's Executive Strike & Spare and presented him a proclamation. Mookie is a fan of Louisville and we're grateful for his support!
