Unmasking diary part 3: I told people I am currently in the process of unmasking - this doesn’t have to be said but I think me wanting to say it is part of it for me too :)

So glad The Great North is renewed for another season not ready to let it go 😭 #TheGreatNorth

Been documenting my unmasking and nothing new today but I think one of the best parts about my current church is I didn’t feel the need to mask and THAT is how you actually create a comfortable space for all 💪🏿

Continuing my unmasking diary: Someone asked me why I need an extra time assessment and I just said “ I just needed extra time” 😔 so that was a fail but it’s okay!

It was a pleasure to be chosen to represent this study through my blog and be chosen for it to be posted. We as researchers, health care providers and people owe it to Black and South Asian women to understand their experiences and help them navigate it by listening to them.

This is my no1 pet peeve as someone in psychology. The distortion of psychological language is so important to flag up because of how it’s affects understanding of behaviour.

Black people need to stop centring Christianity when talking about religion/spirituality in collaborative Black spaces. I get it many Christians are black but many aren’t. The erasure/disregard of Black Muslims, agnostics, African spiritualists in such spaces is just damaging.

Where did Lucy Letby get these ride or die friends from? In secondary I got dropped by my friends for simply being friends with someone else 💀 she murdered babies and they still are supporting her
