In 1986 Harvard University threatened us as well with suspension for protesting apartheid S. Africa. Our response was similar. Well done. Univ. Pres. Garber emailed alumni today soliciting support for his crackdown. I wrote him back with a counter proposal: that he accede to the students…

Toronto councillor on junket drove luxury rental car from Turin to Milan and arrived at airport too late to check in, so charged city extra $5,300 for hotel and new tickets. Ironically, he actually could've made it on time using the train. Fare: only $47

🚨 Help Stop the Beach Ave Road Expansion!

This project would use community funds to increase traffic and remove green space, contradicting our health and transport goals.

Note: the $27 million number Dipika Damerla keeps throwing around here isn’t just for the bike lane. Unmentioned; intersection improvements, a new signalized pedestrian crossing, and upgrades to transit stops and lighting along the entire corridor.

Reminder: research showed that the Bloor Street bike lanes improved road safety for ALL road users, including drivers, lowered storefront vacancy rates, and increased revenues for local businesses. Dipika Damerla is pandering to low-info voters. carsp.ca/wp-content/upl…

Not a single “tip” for drivers who routinely hit and kill or injure people getting around on bikes.

Riders don’t need lectures.

We drivers are the ones who need to learn, to adjust our behaviour around people on bikes.
