I know a very talented researcher who received the U.S. National Science Foundation GRFP in neuroscience (amazing!) but was not admitted to any PhD programs this cycle. Any #neuroscience PhD prgms able to consider a trainee with 3 yrs funding so they don't need to decline the award? (Can't defer it seems)

I got my cap and gown today 😭. Less than one month till graduation

I set my defense date! This is becoming too real now!

CONGRATS TO THE NSF GRFP AWARDEES! But also, congrats to those that submitted an application. Like most grants, there are still A LOT of qualified people that had different reviewers, etc and didn’t have the same luck. the grfp isn’t an end all, be all

reminder on this #GRFP day - you are worthy and deserving even if NSF didn't fund your fellowships, it is not a reflection on your worth or value. My cycle, 0 people at my entire institution (big R1) got a GRFP and we all turned out ok in the end 🥰👏

I have accepted an Assistant Professor position in the Mechanical Engineering department at MSOE for Fall 2024!

I am cutting it close with a July PhD defense😅, but I am excited to start a new chapter of my life soon!
