“It was a massive effort to help tackle our waiting list.”
Shout out to the BHRUT NHS 🏥 women’s health team, who completed 60 operations in just six days during their gynaecology week! 💪
They performed 38 major surgeries and 22 robotic procedures to help cut their waiting list.
Our CEO Matthew Trainer, ‘we’ve had the busiest day across our A&Es in at least five years, quite possibly the busiest day ever.’ Please consider alternatives before coming to A&E as anyone not needing emergency care will face long waits. ow.ly/Rorh50QWAjo

This is shocking. We’ve already discussed at Barts Health and BHRUT NHS 🏥 Boards and will work hard to tackle it urgently.
Yesterday we heard the tinkling of the piano again. It was good to see so many staff & patients come to listen to those playing a great mix of contemporary favourites & classical pieces. Some recognizable songs brought us together for a great end-of-day singalong. #bhrutpiano
During the COVID-19 pandemic NHS staff faced an extraordinarily difficult challenge.

Today we welcomed Sarah-Jane Marsh, Neill Moloney and colleagues from NHS North East London to Queen's to hear about the work behind our recent progress. They visited colleagues in our urgent treatment centre, A&E and frailty unit to learn what we're doing to improve patient care and experience.
We've had a fantastic day visiting BHRUT NHS 🏥. It’s been great to hear all about what the trust is doing to improve the working environment for staff and trainees, alongside some exciting developments in robotic surgery and the elective surgical hub
A game changer for patients and staff - Tim Mitchell from The Royal College of Surgeons of England opens our new decontamination unit at King George Hospital.
Good to catch up with Matthew Trainer at Queens Romford ED today to see excellent partnership in operation between London Ambulance Service and Matthew and his team BHRUT NHS 🏥
