Good to see Sink the Boats investigation chosen among highlights this month by GIJN en français
Recognition belongs to the team but it's important to highlight May Bulman's consistently excellent work.
When I worked with the migration sector in the UK, I saw the incredible respect that people had for her (and it was mutual, of course.)
The outstanding work of May Bulman for Lighthouse Reports is recognised with 2 investigations on the shortlist for this year’s One World Media. She’ll be the first to point to others’ contributions to Afghans Left Behind and Border Graves but the attention is well deserved
Excited to see our reporting on Europe‘s nameless dead nominated for one of the One World Media awards. 👇

⚠️A journalistic investigation conducted by Le Monde, Lighthouse Reports, The Observer and DER SPIEGEL shows how the French authorities, funded by the British government, endanger migrants and refugees’ lives in the English Channel.🧶👇 bit.ly/3voWBDN

We're pleased to hear that our investigation with The Independent into how the Afghan 'Triples' special forces units who were left behind by Britain has been shortlisted for the Amnesty Media Awards.

Following our Lighthouse Reports The Observer Le Monde DER SPIEGEL investigation revealing dangerous tactics against small boats in the Channel, French MPs have tabled a motion for a parliamentary inquiry to be launched into these activities
The Home Office hasn’t addressed the fact that UK money is funding these tactics. When we approached them for comment they provided a generic statement on reducing Channel crossings
It'd be good to see answers from ministers. Do they condemn these pullbacks or support them?
Glad to see ITV News pick up our Lighthouse Reports Channel investigation on the 6 & 10 o’clock news this eve (with a short snippet of me speaking to them about it!)

Brave, forensic reporting by May Bulman Lighthouse Reports and others on the deliberate ramming, puncturing and wave-making used to try to stop small boats crossing The Channel theguardian.com/uk-news/2024/m…
