One of the best things I ever did was writing my query letter BEFORE I start new WIPs. Helps me figure out the basics and then future me is much happier when I’m ready to query.

First of all....no author is going to just wait and submit so you can have queries trickle in. If you're open then you're open.

But more importantly WHY is an agent opening to queries if their inbox is already full of queries?
