Colleagues-saying you care about all Ss in response to recent events and racism is missing the mark. You have to actually use the word “Black.” Not being explicit leaves our Black families questioning our commitment to them. Stating Black lives matter is not a political statement

Let’s stop worrying about offending people and do the work we were called to do. The work we do changes our kids and our communities. ❤️

Our Superintendent reminded principals that ALL means ALL. Everyone was challenged to look in the mirror through the lens of equity;and if anyone doesn’t value ALL then they can find the door. These conversations are critical, and the action that goes with it.
