I call on business and community leaders to speak up, join me in opposing HCR 2060, and help me continue delivering real border solutions to our border crisis — not just empty rhetoric to score political points.

Congress had a border deal that supported law enforcement and included stringent reforms, but instead of passing it, extremists killed it to politicize the issue rather than focus on real solutions. Now, Republicans in the state legislature continue to play the same games.

I'm frustrated by the federal government’s failure to secure the border, but anti-business initiatives that demonize our communities is not the solution. HCR 2060 will kill jobs, cost tens of millions of dollars and divert law enforcement resources from stopping crime.

Republicans claim they are the only ones that can fix the border, but that’s a proven lie. The fact is they are beholden to Donald Trump, not their constituents.
