Lehrmann verdict: Lee J has found that Bruce Lehrmann raped Brittany Higgins.

3. He was reckless as to whether or not she consented

Key learning: don't sue for defamation over an allegation of a rape that you actually committed.

While finding that #BruceLehrmann raped Brittany Higgins, Justice Michael Lee has pointed out that this is a civil case and his judgment is on the 'balance of probabilities' rather than 'beyond reasonable doubt' as is required in a criminal trial.
