The LA County independent jail inspectors visited on April 17, 2024. The jail is a trash can with refuse and rotting food in the mess hall and dormitories, a pervasive smell of smoke, and retaliation again the men incarcerated there by removing radio batteries from all but a few.

At the Oklahoma Supreme Court yesterday with Lessie Randle and Viola Fletcher. Lead attorney Damario Solomon-Simmons did an amazing job arguing that these survivors of the Tulsa Race Massacre should proceed with their lawsuit.

15 Years ago today, John Horton III died in Men’s Central Jail. Ever since his mother, Helen Jones, has been fighting for justice for her son. John and Helen have taught LA so much about how the jail system works and exposed conflicts of interest between the Sheriff and the ME.
