University crisis. I've read article after article on this, which rightly mention inflation & tuition fees, & international students, but few mention the dog-eat-dog removal of the student cap. Quite a few Hums depts would not be facing current cuts if the cap was still in place

🐀🐀 Heathrow Airport terminal 5, ironically hiding under the hygiene station 🤦🏼‍♀️. Ground staff say this is ‘normal’ and nothing can be done about it. General state of terminal not very clean, but do managers know how dangerous rats are to 🛩️🛩️ (never mind the spread of disease)?

Terrible news from another humanities stronghold in UK academia. I cannot help but think that at some point we will reach rock bottom and finally realise that a society without literature, history, art and culture is simply not going to function.
