Rafah is being decimated, there is nowhere else left to go. Israel is now bombing more than 1.7 million civilians trapped in Rafah, Gaza's last place of refuge. A massacre is happening in Rafah right now and the world is silent.

One doesn't need to be a fortune-teller to understand that the Israel-US game plan for Gaza runs something like this:

1. In public, Biden appears “tough” on Netanyahu, urging him not to “invade” Rafah and pressuring him to allow more “humanitarian aid” into Gaza.

2. But already

Israel is intensely bombing 1.7 million Palestinians in Rafah. They are now being bombed with nowhere else to go.

This is not war, this is genocide.

A military assault on Rafah would be an unbearable escalation, killing thousands more civilians & forcing hundreds of thousands to flee.
 
It would have a devastating impact on Palestinians in Gaza, with serious repercussions on the occupied West Bank & across the wider region.

Of course US and UK officials are lobbying hard to stop the ICC issuing arrest warrants for Netanyahu and his ministers.

They are accomplices to the crime. They should be next. We must ensure they are.

Genocide has to be a redline. If we don’t enforce it, we lose our humanity.

Well worth a view, as an insight into Starmer's capabilities as a political leader.

If we vote for a weak and malleable Labour party, in 5 years time we will be in a worse situation. We will have less political stability, and will be on a worse trajectory.

Why?

Being a watered down version of the current govt is not an answer.

We need courageous politics.
