I’m thrilled to announce that this week I started a new job as the Public Affairs Manager for PlannedParenthood DE. I will be working to help pass legislation, engage volunteers and donors, and make sure that #Delaware continues to offer the best in reproductive healthcare.

In addition to polling places, guns will now be kept away from schools and are required to be securely stored in cars. Glad to see this commonsense legislation that will make us all safer passed. #DELeg

SHE DID IT! Congratulations to Cyndie Romer, the first Moms Demand Action volunteer in Delaware to hold elected office, for the passage of her bill that will keep guns out of polling places. This is a win for the safety of all Delawareans and for democracy. #DELeg

If you can't understand that sometimes in politics people have to vote for things that they know won't become law to un-gum the works and make sure that nonprofits get the $ they need to operate than maybe you need a new line of work.

The General Assembly is now in recess until January. It was a historic day yesterday -DE House Democratic Caucus elected an all-female leadership team. Congratulations to Valerie Longhurst, Rep. Melissa Minor-Brown and Kerri Evelyn Harris for their new roles as Speaker, Majority Leader and Whip respectively. #DELeg

I’m glad that the governor and speaker have made this commitment publicly. Moms Demand Action volunteers will be there from Day 1 (actually we *have* been there since Day 1) to make sure that SB 2 passes in January. Grateful always for the leadership of Attorney General Kathy Jennings on this issue. #DEleg

Impossible for me not to express my rage today at so many progressives who “couldn’t get excited” or didn’t show up in 2016. You were blind to the fundamental rights that were at stake. The most vulnerable citizens will pay the price of your fucking privilege. Vote.

Of course I am glad that the #Delaware Senate is going to pass bills that make polling places and schools safer from gun violence and voter intimidation and guns more secure in cars. But I’m deeply disappointed that the permitting bill was once again left on the table. #DELeg
